In this pillar of the strategic plan, we seek to deepen learning and relationships to transform lives; ensure that we live our values as a diverse and inclusive community; deepen our community-wide commitment to social and emotional well-being; and strengthen outreach and engagement across communities.
Our current work includes:
PLANNING
- Updating our bias reporting form and refining our system to share microaggressions, racist, or questionable incidents for employees and students.
- Reviewing recommendations from our accreditation report to support teaching and learning antiracism
- Putting together a committee to explore how our community can benefit from restorative practices
- Formally including in the Faculty Evaluation & Growth Matrix a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
